Scholarship Opportunities for Academic Year 2/2025
The SIIT Graduate Scholarship Program offers various types of scholarships, and the committees will consider both admission and the appropriate scholarship type for eligible applicants.
• For Foreign Applicants: EFS (Type B)
• For Thai Applicants: ETS (Type B)
• For Both Foreign and Thai Applicants: Faculty’s Quota
Detailed Scholarship Coverage & Eligibility (Based on EFS Type B for Academic Year 2/2024 – A strong indicator of what to expect)
While the specific details for the Academic Year 2/2025 scholarships will be determined by the SIIT Executive Committee, the EFS (Type B) scholarship program for Academic Year 2/2024 (January 2025 intake) provides a comprehensive understanding of the support offered. This scholarship is available for Master’s (2-year curriculum) and Doctoral (3-year curriculum) degrees.
Candidate Qualifications (EFS Type B – Foreign Applicants):
1. Nationality: Must not be of Thai nationality.
2. Academic Excellence: Possess an excellent academic record, preferably ranked within the top 20 percent of your class.
3. Admission Qualifications: Meet the general qualifications for SIIT graduate program admissions.
4. Recommendation Letters: Provide two strong recommendation letters, with at least one from an academic instructor/advisor. Ensure your referees provide official/professional email addresses (from their institute/company/university), as personal email addresses are not allowed.
5. Health and Conduct: Maintain good health and conduct.
6. No Dual Scholarships: Must not be a recipient of another type of scholarship.
Scholarship Coverage (EFS Type B):
This scholarship aims to provide comprehensive support to help you focus on your studies:
1. Full Tuition & Fees: Covers full SIIT tuition and educational support fees (including full thesis support), excluding specific Thammasat University (TU) matriculation and educational support fees.
2. Living Allowance: A monthly living allowance of 10,000 baht.
3. Travel Expenses: Round-trip economy travel expenses between Thailand and your home country (actual expense, maximum 20,000 baht/student).
4. Miscellaneous Expenses: Covers miscellaneous costs such as visa fees and a one-time English proficiency test for graduation (actual expenses, but not over 10,000 baht/student).
5. Insurance: Health and accident insurance throughout the scholarship period in Thailand.
Important Condition: Scholarship recipients are required to stay at the SIIT dormitory for a period of at least 12 months.
Conditions to Continue the Scholarship:
To ensure continued scholarship support, recipients must:
1. Maintain a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.25.
2. Make good progress on their master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation and report progress every semester.
3. Assist in the institute’s work for 30 hours per semester, primarily focused on exam proctoring (24 hours) and laboratory supervision or tutoring (6 hours).
◦ Note: Adjustment of scholarship requirements may be possible and will be informed during the scholarship agreement signing period.
4. There are no conditions after graduation.

General Admission Requirements for Graduate Programs
Regardless of scholarship application, all applicants must meet SIIT’s graduate admission criteria.
Required Application Documents (as electronic files: Jpeg., Jpg., PDF. format):
1. Statement of Purpose: At least one page detailing your academic and career goals.
2. Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume.
3. Official or Current Transcripts:
◦ For Master’s degree: Bachelor’s degree transcript with a GPA of at least 2.75.
◦ For Doctoral degree: Bachelor’s degree transcript and Master’s degree transcript with a GPA of 3.50.
4. English Proficiency Test Certificate (if any): While not mandatory for application, submission is required during your first semester if admitted. Failure to meet the criteria on time will result in dismissal of student status. Accepted tests include:

◦ TOEFL (IBT 32+, IBT Home Edition 32+, ITP 433+) or Institutional TOEFL 433+
◦ IELTS 4.5+
◦ TU-GET (PBT 400+, CBT 32+)

5. Citizen ID card or Passport.
6. Research paper, publication or certificates (if any).
